About StudyVisually

What StudyVisually believes about learning, and how each belief shows up in the app: see it, recall it, space it out, start without signing up, and keep AI honest.

Here's what we believe.

Where did StudyVisually come from?

It started as a private study tool and grew from there.

The first version was built as a personal study tool. It was used privately for months, and every mode in it was tested on real studying before anyone else saw it.

Then it moved to studyvisually.com as StudyVisually, open to everyone.

What does StudyVisually believe about studying?

A few beliefs shape every screen. Each one comes with the part of the app that shows it.

  • See it, don't just read it

A picture, an analogy or a moving diagram gives the mind something to hold. A wall of text gives it something to skim.

In the app: Concept cards show each idea on 4 faces, and diagrams play a process one step at a time.

  • Recall beats rereading

Rereading feels productive because the page looks familiar. Pulling the answer out of your own head is what makes it stay.

In the app: Flashcards hide the answer until you have tried, Quiz asks you to predict the answer first, and Interview gives you 60 seconds to explain out loud.

  • A little every day

A focused 20 minutes, repeated, beats one long night of cramming. The hard part is showing up, so the app makes that easy.

In the app: Each mission takes 20 minutes, a flashcard session holds at most 10 cards, and a streak counts the days you came back.

  • Start before you sign up

You should be able to judge a study tool by studying with it, not by filling in a form.

In the app: The guide and every mode work without an account. Progress is saved in your browser and can be exported to a file.

  • AI on request

AI is good at turning notes into cards and at checking an answer. It should do that when you ask, and you should be able to fix what it gets wrong.

In the app: Every AI action starts from a button you press. Any card AI writes can be edited or removed.

  • Real numbers, no fine print

Prices and limits should be clear before you pay, not discovered after.

In the app: Every limit on this site comes from the same table the app enforces, down to Free's 5 decks a month.

  • Your material stays yours

Notes you bring are yours. They are sent to AI only to build your deck, and they go when the deck goes.

In the app: Deleting a deck deletes its text. Payments go through Creem, so card details never reach our servers.

What StudyVisually is not

Knowing what a tool leaves out helps you pick the right one.

  • Not a video course

There are no lectures to watch. Everything is cards, questions and diagrams you work through yourself.

  • Not a chat tutor

AI builds decks, grades answers and explains wrong picks. It doesn't hold a conversation with you.

  • Not a certificate

Finishing the guide shows on your map, not on a diploma. The proof is what you can explain afterwards.

Try it with today's mission.

Open the app and spend 20 minutes on a free subject or your own notes. Start without signing up, no card needed.
